Packaging and logistics
Sustainability is at the core of everything we do. We choose locally produced and organic ingredients as much as possible. In our products, 96-100% of the content is organic.
Most of our production takes place in Sweden, but we have not found local manufacturers for some products, so they are currently produced in Italy. Our goal is of course to bring that production home in the future.
EDO's bottles are made from recycled plastic. This means that we cannot determine the exact color of each package, but they are all unique and different. After each delivery, we will evaluate the packaging to find new, climate-smart alternatives to new products. The idea behind the brand is summed up in the hexagon, the multidimensional shape that is the building block of everything from chemical compounds to snowflakes, beehive honeycombs and turtle shells. The shape is repeated in the packaging, which is also made in Sweden, from wood fiber mixed with a small amount of bioplastic. They are biodegradable and you can put them in the compost, plant in them or why not use them as a toothbrush cup?
By using locally grown ingredients in our products and producing both the contents and outer packaging in Sweden, we do not need to transport either the contents or the packaging long distances.

Products and manufacturing
We want to create fantastic products from local ingredients and produce as close to home as possible. That's why most of the production takes place in Sweden and our goal is of course that all products will eventually be manufactured locally.
Our mission is to find the best ingredients and we focus on function rather than flashy names. After many months of testing different oils, we discovered that the ultimate combination for our products was a base of Swedish oat oil and Finnish hemp seed oil!
Now our products naturally contain significantly more ingredients, but doesn't it feel fantastic that we can use tomato, cloudberry, carrot and rapeseed oil instead of longer-traveled products like jojoba and avocado oil?
At least that's what we think, and when we realized it made our products even better, the choice was easy. We will always base our products on local, vegan ingredients. No crap - just the best possible.
